In this tutorial, I will show you how to make a 3D text effect in Photoshop CC. This Photoshop tutorial goes over the problems people been having with white backgrounds not being gray like in the other tutorials. I also go over the settings you should have before running the 3d effect. "New 3D Extrusion from Selected Layer" not showing? - Go to Edit - Preferences - Performance. Then select "Use Graphics Processor". - When you right click on the text layer, make sure only that layer is selected and not the background.
